Charissa Thompson has had a busy summer-navigating contract rumors, landing a new deal, and soaking up the sun in style.
The longtime FOX NFL Kickoff host, who also appears on Prime Video’s Thursday Night Football, recently posted a set of breezy vacation photos with her boyfriend, Steven Cundari. But before that, she made headlines for something else entirely: her future at FOX.
Back in April, social media buzz suggested Thompson might be on her way out. Even her own family asked if she had lost her job after she hosted them at her ranch. Her response? Blunt and to the point. “I’m not leaving FOX. I was never leaving FOX,” she said during an interview.
Fast forward to this week, and the rumors are officially done. According to Front Office Sports, Thompson signed a new multi-year deal to remain at FOX-just like her podcast co-host and sideline star Erin Andrews.
“Not Engagement Photos,” Just Vibes
Just as the ink dried on the new contract, Thompson hopped on Instagram to share a handful of vacation photos with Cundari, who was reportedly introduced to her by Matthew and Kelly Stafford.
“Steve was sick of me asking strangers to take a photo… so he went along with my #NotEngagementPhotos idea,” Thompson wrote in the caption. “You’re welcome Steve, you look great.”
The post, which featured boat-side glamour and relaxed smiles, was met with praise from fans and followers. And while the caption was playful, many couldn’t help but wonder if the couple is getting serious.
Thompson confirmed the Staffords had a hand in setting them up, telling People, “They were sick of me dating losers… so they were like, ‘We have a great guy for you.'”
With a new deal in hand and her personal life clearly thriving, Thompson seems more grounded than ever. She hasn’t commented publicly on the contract itself, but the vacation vibes say enough-she’s not going anywhere, and life’s looking good on and off the field.
