Cam Ward’s journey to the NFL is nothing short of legendary. From being the SLC Rookie of the Year in 2020 to becoming the first zero-star recruit ever drafted No. 1 overall, his path is packed with accolades-so many, in fact, that even he’s lost track. But trust us, his fans haven’t.

Back in April, the Tennessee Titans selected Ward as the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Coming straight out of the University of Miami (FL), Ward brought with him an impressive collection of trophies-falling just shy of the Heisman-and the quiet confidence of a player who lets his stats do the talking.

Though his calm, focused demeanor may not grab headlines like some of his fellow 2025 quarterbacks, Titans fans have plenty of faith in him-and Hurricanes fans just proved they haven’t forgotten a single detail of his college greatness.

“I didn’t know I won that”: Ward gets a surprise tribute

After his record-breaking season with the Hurricanes, Ward returned to Miami for a workout. In a YouTube video, the rookie quarterback is seen admiring a framed poster of himself on display at the school’s athletic facilities.

But it wasn’t just any old photo. The display also listed his many accolades-including one he had no idea he’d earned.

“I didn’t know I had this,” Ward said with a laugh. “My mom had gotten my jersey framed and it had that on it… I didn’t even know I had that. I just thought it was First-Team ACC.”

What he had actually earned? A unanimous First-Team All-ACC selection-an elite distinction that puts him in a class of his own. Clearly, Ward is more focused on performance than praise-and that mindset might be just what the Titans need.

What’s next for Ward and the Titans?

Rookies and veterans are expected to report on July 22 for the start of Titans training camp at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park in Nashville. Just a few weeks later, on August 9, the Titans will open their preseason against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

While Ward is unlikely to see extended action in that first preseason appearance, all eyes will be on him. And come September 7, when the Titans kick off their regular season against the

Denver Broncos

, the real show begins.

If Cam Ward plays anything like he did in college, don’t be surprised if the rookie turns Tennessee into playoff contenders-and leaves a few more trophies on display that he forgot he won.
