Cal Raleigh has carried the Seattle Mariners all MLB season long both defensively as an everyday catcher being part of the Mariners’ central line and also offensively especially with home runs until Game 7 the last of the American League Championship Series.
In addition, the Seattle Mariners catcher became the catcher with the most home runs in a regular season in Major League Baseball, surpassing the 48 set by Venezuelan Salvador Perez in the 2021 campaign.
Cal Raleigh’s home runs
According to Talkin’ Baseball (@TalkinBaseball_) on the social network X (formerly Twitter), they posted the following information regarding Cal Raleigh’s home runs throughout the 2025 Major League Baseball season: “Cal Raleigh’s 65 home runs in the regular season and postseason combined are the most in American League history.”

The home run hit by Cal Raleigh in Game 7 of the American League Championship Series against the Toronto Blue Jays put the Seattle Mariners ahead and seemed at that moment to qualify them for their first World Series in their history. However, it was not enough, as the Blue Jays turned the score around with a three-run homer by George Springer in the bottom of the ninth inning off Venezuelan Eduard Bazardo to win 4-3 and advance to the Fall Classic.
