The Indiana Fever‘s first game of this WNBA season has given a lot to talk about. Scoring an important 93-58 victory, Caitlin Clark and her team defeated Angel Reese’s Chicago Sky.

Of course, in order to obtain such results the team was not only training, but also underwent changes in its roster. One of them was the signing of six-time All-Star DeWanna Bonner to a one-year contract with Indiana.

In fact her debut went down in history as she scored 7 points and dethroned Tina Thompson to move into 3rd place on the WNBA’s all-time leading scorer list.

After the Fever win, Caitlin was quick to show her admiration for Bonner. Despite Clark leading Indiana with 20 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, she called DeWanna “a Motherf*** GOAT.”

Fans’ reaction

In the video shared by @ericaf455, Fever fans didn’t hide their pleasure and excitement at the results and Clark’s celebration.

“Love this angle, I was wondering what she said when they went crazy,” commented one follower. “That’s the difference, the Fever raises one another up, celebrates one another, it’s not about one player standing out, it’s a true team” reflected another. “This team so cute” added another user.

Now, Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever prepare to host the Atlanta Dream at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Wednesday, May 21.
