The 2025 WNBA All-Star weekend in Indianapolis had it all – dazzling dunks, fierce competition, and plenty of off-court flair. From Caitlin Clark to A’ja Wilson, the game’s biggest stars delivered both on the hardwood and in their personal style.
But amid all the glitz, one viral Instagram post from Kelsey Plum turned into a hilarious moment of unexpected brand drama.
After the game, Plum showed off her designer outfit – courtesy of stylist Karla Welch – in a glam Instagram post captioned, “What a weekend.”
But Clark, ever the observant one, spotted a small but hilarious detail in the background: part of a Nike swoosh creeping into the shot. Given that Plum is signed to Under Armour, Clark couldn’t resist poking fun, writing in the comments, “Thank u for the Nike ad.”
Caitlin Clark’s signature logo is finally on the way
While the playful jab gained hundreds of likes, it also reminded fans of Clark‘s own Nike endorsement deal. In 2024, she signed an eight-year, $28 million contract – the richest sneaker deal in WNBA history – and included in that deal is a signature shoe line. But more than a year later, fans are still waiting.
Now, there’s finally movement. Sports Illustrated reported that Nike will unveil Clark‘s official signature logo this November, marking a major step toward her debut shoe. There’s no official release date yet, but anticipation continues to build.
Meanwhile, Clark sat out the All-Star game due to a groin injury, her second of the season. Though fans missed her on the court, she remained involved throughout the weekend, even selling basketballs at a pop-up booth. For now, though, her health comes first – and the WNBA world will be waiting for her return at full strength.
