Caitlin Clark’s fanaticism for Taylor Swift is not something that has emerged in recent hours, although it has given people something to talk about.
After the announcement of the 14-time Grammy winner’s new album, titled “The Life of a Showgirl,” her fans went wild. And she wasn’t far behind.
CC’s fanaticism for Taylor is evident
On Monday night, when the podcast “New Heights,” hosted by Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce and his brother Jason, announced that Swift would be their guest this week, the Indiana Fever star reacted enthusiastically: “AHHHHHHH!!!!!! LFGGGGGG!” she commented.
Now the podcast’s official Instagram account has released a small but powerful preview of what the full episode with the artist as a guest will be like. True to his personality, Jason introduced Taylor with unmistakable energy and shared facts that even the singer herself couldn’t believe.
Attentive to updates like any fan, upon seeing this clip, Clark did not hesitate to express a big question on her X account, formerly Twitter: “Are we sure YouTube isn’t going to crash tonight?” she asked her followers, along with a smiling emoji with cold sweat.
In response to her query, the podcast account @newheightshow generated even more excitement and invited her to be part of the moment alongside the rest of the Swifties: “See you in the live chat!“
The truth is that CC had already been on the Kelce brothers’ “New Heights” podcast some time ago and had commented on her fandom for Travis’ girlfriend and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Meanwhile, we’ll have to wait and see if what Caitlin asked for will come true. Although its release date and official cover art have not yet been revealed (currently shown as a bright orange padlock on a green background), fans can already pre-order physical copies through the official store.
The full episode of the podcast will premiere at 7 p.m. ET on August 13, and fans are hoping to get more details about Tay’s new album. And Clark too.
Clark’s return to Indiana
Meanwhile, Indiana will face the Washington Mystics this Friday, August 15, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse and try to bounce back from their loss to the Dallas Wings. However, they will be without CC.
The star’s absence was noticeable: Caitlin has missed 11 games due to a groin strain, and neither she nor the team has confirmed her return to the court.
