For next season, the Yankees have one concern: to have a strong and solid starting rotation. Brian Cashman, the Bombers’ general manager, is working on the suggestion of making a trade with the Dodgers to bring Bobby Miller to the Bronx and let Jason Dominguez go.
Can the Yankees get the best out of Bobby Miller?
The pitcher spent most of 2025 in Triple-A and also dealt with knee and shoulder issues that kept him from being a factor in 2024. In 2023, he had an outstanding rookie season, an performance that to date is attractive to the New York franchise in its analysis.

Although 2023 has been the year of his best campaign, that does not mean that his level has reached its maximum until that moment. The Yankees trust that he still has a higher ceiling, so they would work with him to boost his numbers and make his arm more powerful.

Why do the Yankees benefit from the Miller-for-Dominguez trade?
The New York franchise has a strong roster with Cody Bellinger, Aaron Judge and Trent Grisham as its outfielders, so Jasson Dominguez has little chance of playing. For this reason, it makes sense for the Yankees to part with a player they will hardly use and get a pitcher who will fit well into their starting rotation.
This trade would be beneficial for both parties, mainly for New York, because they would shore up their pitching staff.
