There are high expectations within the Denver Broncos, but to surpass their postseason performance from last year, Bo Nix will need to prove his growth in 2025.

No one can deny that, as a rookie, the former Oregon quarterback showed he has the potential to become a strong NFL player.

The truth is, he had a disastrous start, throwing four interceptions in the first two weeks. However, as the season progressed, he validated Sean Payton‘s faith in him.

In his final 14 games, Nix threw 28 touchdowns against eight interceptions, completing 67.2% of his passes. Now, the team expects him to take another step forward in his second year.

Patrick Surtain II believes Bo Nix will shine

Bo, he’s even more confident going into this year. Obviously, with Year 1 under his belt, a lot more confidence rises upon that,” Surtain said on Tuesday about Nix. “The team, we have Bo’s back through the whole way through. He’s a tremendous leader out there, obviously, a tremendous player. This year, he’s going to make a lot of noise, and we’re looking forward to seeing what he does and his success moving forward.”

The Broncos have equipped Bo Nix with strong weapons, including rookie RJ Harvey and J.K. Dobbins in the backfield. Additionally, the arrival of tight end Evan Engram gives the quarterback a key target for intermediate routes.

With a talent-loaded defense, the Denver Broncos could end the Kansas City Chiefs‘ dominance in the AFC West, though that remains to be seen.
