What began as a simple fall turned into a life-or-death battle for Quinton Aaron. The actor, best known for co-starring in the acclaimed film The Blind Side alongside Sandra Bullock, has been hospitalized since the weekend. Today, his wife, Margarita, shared encouraging news about his condition.

Aaron made his big-screen debut in 2008 as Q in Michel Gondry’s Be Kind Rewind. Since then, he has appeared in more than 40 films and several television series in supporting roles.

His most recognized performance remains his portrayal of former football player Michael Oher in the Oscar-nominated The Blind Side.

Four days ago, Aaron’s life took a frightening turn when he collapsed on the stairs of his Atlanta apartment and was rushed to the hospital.

Upon arrival, doctors recommended placing him on life support. They informed Margarita that a blood infection might be the cause, though tests are still ongoing.

Speaking to TMZ, Aaron’s wife shared hopeful news: although medical equipment is assisting him, he is now partially breathing on his own.

Margarita expressed optimism, describing her husband as “a fighter.” She added that he has shown significant improvement and affirmed, “We all have faith in God that he will walk out of here fully recovered.”

The collapse that sent Quinton Aaron to the hospital

Following reports of his collapse, a representative told TMZ that Aaron had been hospitalized for three days but was stable.

According to the representative, Aaron lost feeling in his legs while walking up the stairs at home. Margarita, a registered nurse, helped him back inside and immediately called emergency services

This is not Aaron’s first health scare. In March 2025, he was hospitalized with a fever and coughing up blood, later diagnosed with influenza A and pneumonia. In 2019, he also suffered from an upper respiratory infection.
