Barcelona changed its plans at the last minute to travel to Prague. In the course of this 2025/26 season, the coaching staff decided that the training session prior to the Champions League match, when there was a trip to play away from home, was going to be at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper so that the players could spend more time at home.
This decision allowed them to travel at midday and, in the destination city, to hold only the press conference at the rival’s stadium. All this changed a few days ago for the trip to the Czech city.
In the time between Santander and San Sebastian, the coaching staff, together with the players, decided that the best option to face the seventh matchday of the Champions League was to train at the Eden Arena in Prague.
The temperature in the Czech city made everyone validate the trip early on Tuesday morning to train after the press conference given by Hansi Flick and Alejandro Balde at 17:30.
During the session, the thermometer read -3 degrees Celsius and the forecast for the time of the match is -5 degrees. The German coach, in his press conference, took it with a sense of humor: “It’s not a problem, that way the players run more.”
