The NFL offseason continues in full swing, and the rumors about potential changes in several teams are growing stronger. According to ESPN, the Miami Dolphinsare looking to move on from cornerback Jalen Ramsey, who is undoubtedly one of the best defensive players in NFL history.
Ramsey had some standout moments during his two years with the Dolphins, but team general manager Chris Grier stated to the media that they are looking to trade him.
The Eagles would be the perfect team for Ramsey
The current Dolphins cornerback could fit on many teams in the NFL, and one of them is the reigning champions, the Philadelphia Eagles. The league’s defending champions have lost Darius Slay, James Bradberry, and Avonte Maddox during the offseason, so Ramsey would be a perfect addition. Plus, the Eagles remain strong contenders in the NFC.
The trade proposed by ESPN would be a major investment for the Dolphins. The deal would include Jalen Ramsey, the 13th pick in the Draft, and next year’s second-round pick in exchange for one of the Eagles’ star receivers, DeVonta Smith, as well as the 32nd pick in the upcoming Draft.
Philadelphia has lost many key pieces on defense, and Ramsey’s experience would be perfect.
However, it’s understandable that moving on from a talent like DeVonta Smith won’t be easy. That said, the Eagles still have one of the best receivers in the league in A.J. Brown.
Additionally, in the Draft, the Eagles could find wide receiver prospects like Tetairoa McMillan, Luther Burden III, and Matthew Golden.
Miami would reunite Jaylen Waddle and DeVonta Smith
The Dolphins would bring back together Jaylen Waddle and DeVonta Smith, who were teammates when they won the National Championship at Alabama. Miami’s offense would become a real threat with Waddle, Smith, and the controversial Tyreek Hill.
