Angel Reese has been at the center of one of the biggest WNBA stories this week: her trade from the Chicago Sky to the Atlanta Dream, announced on Monday, April 6. This move, which included the exchange of two first-round picks in the 2027 and 2028 drafts, marked another milestone in her professional career.

In the early hours of Tuesday, April 7, Reese walked the red carpet in New York City to help Victoria’s Secret launch its new campaign. And her boyfriend, the NBA star, couldn’t be prouder.

Carter Jr. leaves a message for Reese in his latest post

The two-time All-Star Game participant starred in “The Season of Strapless,” the renowned lingerie brand’s campaign in which she takes center stage.

In 2025, she had already made history by becoming the first professional athlete to walk the runway at the iconic Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, marking a pivotal moment for representation on the catwalk. Now, in 2026 and with her appearance in this new campaign, Angel became the first WNBA player to achieve such a feat.

On her official Instagram account, Reese shared seven photos with her 5.2 million followers, showing off a two-piece ensemble featuring a black-and-white skirt and jacket, paired with a black top and stilettos, and her short hair revealing some neatly styled curls. Silver-toned earrings and rings completed the WNBA star’s outfit.

Fans quickly flooded the comments section, but one message in particular stood out: a response from the Orlando Magic center..

Calm down, twin,” Wendell wrote alongside a trembling face emoji and a smiling face emoji with heart eyes.

Luva,” the former Chicago Sky player replied.

Carter Jr. and Angel have never publicly confirmed their relationship, but they’ve been dropping hints that they’ve been dating since November of last year-they refer to each other as “My girl/my man,” and Reese’s presence at Magic games or her necklace with the initials “WCJ” are clear references.

Meanwhile, Angel, who averaged 14.7 points and 12.6 rebounds in the 2025 season, is coming off a strong preseason: she joined the Team USA last March and helped the squad dominate the Pre-Olympic Tournament for the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup.

The Atlanta Dream’s 2026 regular season will tip off on Sunday, May 10, against the Minnesota Lynx at the Target Center. Will we see Wendell cheering on Reese?
