After his 18th NBA Playoffs appearance, LeBron opened up about his mental health in a dialogue with Mind The Game: “Until you get over the pressure, you have no idea you can make it. It’s almost scary”, he said.
The human body or the human mind tricks you, right? And then you’re able to do that, and then you’re able to build it up and do it again, and again, and again. And it doesn’t always result in a win, a loss, or a draw. It’s just a moment of success, something that sometimes you didn’t believe or didn’t think you could overcome.
LBJ’s sacrifices and Savannah’s anger
LeBron, carrying nearly two decades in his career, has had to leave behind great pleasures like his love of sleeping. However, with his mind on a fifth ring, it seems fair to him to lose sleep for the sake of getting important wins for himself and his team.
On the other hand, when he can, he takes advantage of his time to rest and prioritizes it during his commitments with the Lakers, although this habit drives Savannah, his wife, crazy.
James has the peculiar habit of going to bed at 9 o’clock, for which he has earned the nickname “Grandpa Bron” from his wife.
“She gets mad at me when it’s bedtime. That’s how much I love, sleep and take care of myself. But around nine o’clock at night. I ask her, ‘What time, what time are you going to sleep?’ She asks me: “Are you going to sleep? Yeah, of course I am”, LeBron revealed.
