The long-winding saga between the Pittsburgh Steelers and enigmatic NFL legend Aaron Rodgers has finally come to an end. Early this week, Rodgers put pen to paper on his official contract with the Steelers, signing for one year and $19.5 million. Although this was always the expected outcome, it took a while to get here.

Rodgers took his sweet time making a decision, while the Steelers exercised patience; a lot of it. June 10 was set as a soft deadline for a deal to get done. That’s the date the Steelers began mandatory minicamp, and they needed their starting quarterback in tow once those practices rolled around. With Rodgers now on the team, it’s his time to start leading his new teammates.

Yeah, he talked today. He just said he’s all-in from now on.

In addition, rookie quarterback Will Howard echoed a similar sentiment. Howard says Rodgers “seems fired up” and is, like Frazier said, all-in going forward.

It’s exactly the type of thing Steelers fans want to hear. There was real reason to doubt whether Rodgers would be fully bought-in for another season of football. His body has taken a toll over the past two seasons, first while recovering from a torn Achilles and then getting sacked plenty behind a poor New York Jets offensive line in 2024.
