New York Yankees superstar slugger Aaron Judge is on a roll at the start of the 2025 MLB regular season
The current American League MVP went deep again on Friday, helping the Bronx Bombers to a 9-4 road victory at PNC Park against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Another one for “The Judge”
Judge went 1-for-5 and struck out three times in the first game of this interleague series, but hit an impressive home run in the seventh inning on the first pitch he saw from Pirates reliever Tim Mayza.
Judge, 32, made MLB history with that hit, becoming the first player in Major League history to have at least six home runs and 17 RBIs in the first seven games of a season.
Judge did the most damage in that stretch of the Yankees’ incredible 20-9 thrashing of the Milwaukee Brewers in the Bronx on March 29, where he hit three home runs and eight RBIs.
On the season, the six-time All-Star is hitting .379/.455/1.103 in seven games.
The Yankees improved their record to 5-2 with a two-game winning streak heading into the return leg of the series against Pittsburgh next Saturday.
Max Fried got the win as a pitcher on Friday, allowing just one earned run, six hits, one walk and six strikeouts in 5.2 innings of work on the mound.
