Whilst Will Howard stole the show on the football field for the Ohio State Buckeyes as they defeated the Notre Dame Fighting Irish to win the NCAA national championship, his girlfriend caught eyes in the stands. So who is Lauren Leiker?
The Buckeyes‘ offense ruthlessly dictated affairs at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium on January 20, scoring an impressive 21 points in the second quarter alone on route to a 34-23 victory to round out the College Football Playoffs.
And it was the quarterback who starred, by passing for 231 yards and two touchdowns whilst completing 80.9% of his attempts as the 23-year-old went on to be named MVP for his stellar efforts.
But whilst he was impressing the NFL scouts, his girlfriend was impressing social media after watching her man make a 56-yard pass as she jumping up and down in pure joy and celebration at the play.
ESPN cameras captured her in a red and white leather jacket with a black tank top on as the blonde was almost moved to tears, watching Howard take one step closer to the trophy and the NFL too.
One user wrote via X.com, formerly Twitter, “Will Howard should propose to his girlfriend right now.”
A second added, “Will Howard‘s girlfriend???? I shoulda been a D1 QB.”
And a third commented, “Will Howard should propose to his girlfriend right now on stage.”
What do we know about Lauren Leiker?
Not too much is known about Leiker at the moment, but we do know she has been familiar with Howard since around April 2023, and she appeared on field to embrace him after the Rose Bowl game.
With a modest amount of followers on Instagram, hovering around 1600, she doesn’t seem keen to put herself in the limelight. Her account is also private and she seldom appears in Howard‘s photos.
Leiker is from Kansas and studied a Bachelor of Science – BS, Human Health Biology and Integrative Health Services degree at the Kansas State University, eventually going on to work as a Sales and Logistics Coordinator from 2017 to 2022.
Now, she is working as a medical assistant at the Johnson County Dermatology, according to data from her LinkedIn profile.
