The 2025 MLB regular season will have a historic start from Tokyo, Japan, on March 18. However, Opening Day is officially scheduled for Thursday, March 27, the earliest date in Major League Baseball history
The series in Japan consists of two games with the presentation of the champions Los Angeles Dodgers and all their Japanese figures, facing in a two-game series against the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday, March 18 and Wednesday, March 19. However, this will be the sixth time that an opening game of the season will be held in Tokyo, Japan.
For the opening day, Japanese starters are scheduled: Yoshinobu Yamamoto for the Dodgers and Shota Imanaga for the Cubs
