Despite the fact that the Super Bowl LIX game was played in February, it has been six months of hard work from the offices where the administrative work must bear fruit on the field to advance throughout the season and secure the first goal towards the playoffs to head towards the big game of the NFL. In recent months, coaches have gathered each of their players to train and practice plays on the gridiron.
This moment is known as “Training Camp”, a period where each of the athletes must show themselves to the maximum to be considered in the starting lineup for the 2025 season, where the final cut took place on Tuesday, August 26. With the list of 53 players, only the last days of preseason sessions remain, which will officially end training camp on Sunday, August 31.
When is the NFL Kickoff?
After the battles from the trenches, the 2025 season will kick off on Thursday, September 4 when the Philadelphia Eagles host the Dallas Cowboys at Lincoln Field. This will be the opening game and during the weekend the other 15 games of Week 1 will take place. It is worth noting that this Friday will be the first international game of the year in Brazil when at the Corinthians Arena in Sao Paulo, Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers will face each other
But it will not be the only international game of the year for the NFL.
On September 28, the game between the Minnesota Vikings and Pittsburgh Steelers will take place at Croke Park Stadium in Dublin, Ireland.
Meanwhile, October will be England’s month with three games all in the city of London:
- Oct. 5: Minnesota Vikings vs. Cleveland Browns at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
