Carlos Alcaraz, who defeated Arthur Rinderknech in the last 16 of the US Open, will have Monday off to prepare for the quarter-finals against Jiri Lehecka. The Czech ended the resistance of another Frenchman, Adrian Mannarino.
Alcaraz and Lehecka have met three times, with the former winning twice. Both of Carlitos’ victories came on the grass of Queen’s, in the last 16 in 2023 and in the final in 2025. Jiri won in the quarter-finals of the Open 500 in Doha.
When does Alcaraz play in the US Open?
The US Open quarter-final match between Alcaraz and Lehecka will be played on Tuesday, September 2 at Arthur Ashe Stadium, in the second match of the day, at 13:30. The day will be opened by the match between Jessica Pegula and Barbora Krejcikova.
