The Washington Nationals have reportedly fired general manager Mike Rizzo and manager Dave Martinez on Sunday.
The Nationals are 37-53. They sit in last place in the National League East, 16 games behind the first-place Philadelphia Phillies, and 11 games back of the San Diego Padres for the final NL Wild Card spot.
After starting the season 17-19, the Nationals went on a pair of dreadful losing streaks — the first, a seven-game drought, and the second, an 11-game skid.
