The Golden State Warriors announce that guard Seth Curry has been waived from their roster, just 18 days after he was signed on October 1.

Seth Curry didn’t even get the chance to take the court alongside his brother Steph, as he logged zero minutes during the preseason.

Golden State also announced that guard LJ Cryer was waived, bringing their roster down to 17 players.

Splash Brother 2.0 done?

Even though Seth was waived, NBA correspondent Marc Stein revealed that the Warriors made this decision “with the intention of re-signing [Seth] next month when they have sufficient financial flexibility to bring him back.”

Seth played last season for Charlotte, appearing in 68 games with the Hornets, where he shot 45.6% from three point range in just over 15 minutes per game.

This was the first time the brothers suited up for the same NBA team. Steph has only ever played for Golden State, while Seth has been more of a journeyman, having played for nine NBA franchises.
