Pintinho, a 71-year-old former Brazilian footballer, was again very harsh when talking about his compatriot Vinicius, the Real Madrid player.
Dunga and Mauro Silva ruined Brazilian football
“Vinicius is a clown and ungrateful, they take him out of the ruin in Brazil and look how he corresponds. There is no racism here, the guy is stupid and a provocateur. I have lived here for 45 years and people treat me very well,” said the former Sevilla (1980-1984) and Cadiz (1985-1986) player in an interview with Diario de Sevilla.
Romario learned from me
Pintinho, who was capped three times by Brazil, told Juan de la Huerga that “Guardiola in his early days used to say to me: ‘I looked up to you a lot'”, “Dunga and Mauro Silva spoiled Brazilian football” and “Romario learned from me”.
The day Pintinho lashed out at Vinicius: “If he thinks Spain is a racist country, let him go to the Premier League”
This is not the first time that Pintinho has publicly criticised Vinicius.
The former Brazilian footballer said in 2024 on Radio MARCA that “a few days ago I said that Vinicius is a bit of a clown. Here people support me. The kids don’t, but the people who know about football know that I’m telling the truth. I don’t like some of his attitudes”.
“He been told that the kids go to the football field to provoke him. They provoke him because he is very good and they call him black. He has to not care. If he gets into that game, that’s what people want,” he added on the program ‘Buenas Noches y Buenos Goles’.
Pintinho also spoke on Radio MARCA about Vinicius’ statements in which he was told that Spain was a racist country: “I have nothing against Vinicius. I want him to grow more, but I did not like that he said that Spain is a racist country. I have been here for 45 years and Spain is not a racist country. If he is not happy in Spain, let him go. Let him go to England or somewhere else.”
