And despite initial backlash, Kobe‘s widow’s calm response set the record straight. Recently, she posted again while sipping a Honey Deuce, the U.S. Open‘s signature cocktail.
“Enjoying my honey-deuce. Keep me posted on how this imaginary pregnancy rumor is coming along. 24 years later…same rumor,” Vanessa wrote via Instagram, drinking alcohol to prove she isn’t with child.
The post referenced her marriage to Kobe Bryant in 2001 and their first child, Natalia, born in 2003, highlighting her long-established family life and experience when it comes to speculation.
At the US Open in Queens, New York, Vanessa was courtside watching the United States‘ Amanda Anisimova compete against defending champion Aryna Sabalenka, just months after the American’s tough Wimbledon finals loss to Iga Swiatek.

Sabalenka hands Anisimova second heartbreak of 2025 at US Open Final
Aryna Sabalenka successfully defended her US Open women’s singles title, defeating Amanda Anisimova 6-4, 7-6 (7-3) in New York to win the fourth Grand Slam title of her career.
It was also her second consecutive victory at Flushing Meadows, making her the first woman to repeat since Serena Williams in 2014, as she shrugged off earlier heartbreak at the Australian Open and French Open.
“I want to thank everyone who came here,” Sabalenka said after the game. “Who flew in to be there in my box.
“I’m going to reach a lot more finals and I don’t care where you are in the world I want you in my box.”
