Oleksandr Usyk’s legend grew even bigger after he knocked out Daniel Dubois in just five rounds at Wembley Stadium. The Ukrainian managed to knock the Briton down twice, the first time he managed to get up, but on the second occasion, a left-handed blow straight to Dubois’ chin made his mouth guard fly and the referee decreed the KO
Boxing, and all contact sports in general, value respect very much, especially after fights, and this occasion was no exception. Usyk acted as a ‘master’ with Dubois, as they are 11 years apart, and after the fight, ‘The Cat’ went to ‘Dynamite’ and said a few words: “It’s not bad, it’s boxing, not ballet, not dancing. Daniel, you’re young, you can do it, you can dream. Dude dude, chill out, it’s boxing, think it’s sport brother.”
Usyk is already thinking about the next one
Oleksandr is already in the twilight of his career, as he himself commented, he has few fights left, so when asked at the end of the evening, he was not very sure to imagine what will happen in the future: “I don’t know, Fury, Joshua, Chisora, Parker, now I just want to rest at home with my family.”
But the list of names does not stop, and here appears the name of Moses Itauma (12-0), another Briton for the list. “I want to see Usyk against Itauma. This is the fight,” said the famous boxing promoter, Turki Alalshikh, on his Twitter account, after seeing how ‘The Cat’ kept his undefeated record. It is still early to know who Oleksandr will fight next, so as time goes by, more people will be added to the list.
