Without a doubt, Tyreek Hill, although a controversial player, is one of the best and most explosive receivers in the entire NFL. When he arrived at the Miami Dolphins, he made an immediate impact with two 1,700-yard seasons, and in 2023 he led the league in yards and touchdowns.

However, little by little, that happiness in Miami – especially with Tua Tagovailoa – has been fading. When healthy, some analysts even consider Tua to be elite, but injuries have been a real issue.

Last year, Tua missed several games again, and for the first time since 2019, Tyreek Hill failed to surpass 1,000 receiving yards, so the receiver’s satisfaction has gradually diminished.

Tyreek Hill may be pushing for a better quarterback

At the end of last season, Tyreek Hill said after the final game that his story with the Dolphins was over, but weeks later he walked that back and claimed he was committed to helping the team reach a Super Bowl.

However, a few days ago, Tyreek Hill cast doubt – not on the Dolphins, but on Tua Tagovailoa – after revealing his top five NFL quarterbacks, which did not include his current teammate.

“Can I rank my five favorite quarterbacks? Lamar, Josh, Pat, obviously. This isn’t in any particular order. Baker Mayfield… and Joe B,” said the receiver in a video posted on X.

NFL analyst Colin Cowherd suggested that the relationship between Hill and the Dolphins may already be over.

“He tried. By the way, he helped Tua during the regular season; he established Tua as a franchise quarterback. Tyreek is a very good player. I don’t think that in the AFC – where all the good teams play in cold weather – Tyreek Hill is a game-changer in January. In the NFC, many top teams play in domed stadiums… Miami was a fun experiment… they got a lot out of it. But nothing grows to the sky,” said the analyst on The Herd.

Tyreek Hill is still under contract with the Miami Dolphins, so any team seeking his services would need to offer significant draft capital to the Florida team. The Dolphins might be seeking two first-round picks in exchange for the receiver.
