With training camps on the horizon and a make-or-break season looming, Travis Kelce appears to be shifting priorities – and that means less time in the spotlight with superstar girlfriend Taylor Swift.

Following a difficult end to the 2024 NFL campaign that saw the Kansas City Chiefs lose the Super Bowl to the Philadelphia Eagles, reports suggest Kelce believes his performance may have been impacted by the intense public attention surrounding his relationship with Swift.

According to a source quoted by the Daily Mail, Kelce “is going all in for this season, and the only thing that could derail him would be injury.”

The tight end, now 35, is believed to be contemplating retirement after this upcoming NFL season. With that in mind, the source added, “Losing the Super Bowl was a major blow, as he wants to be someone that can have it all and one who can handle having it all.”

Relationship in low gear as Kelce targets Super Bowl redemption

Despite online speculation about the health of the couple’s relationship, insiders insist that there’s no breakup – just a deliberate decision to keep things more private.

“[Taylor and Travis] don’t have to be the center of attention anymore and are going to often not be seen out and about as much as they have been,” the source continued.

Kelce, known for his charisma both on and off the field, faced backlash after being spotted with Swift at a high-profile dinner just days before the Chiefs’ Super Bowl defeat. The outing – which also included teammate Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany – was later criticized as an unnecessary distraction.

Still, Kelce is said to be focused on accountability. “Travis‘s outside ventures and relationship with Taylor took lots of his time this past season, but he refuses to put blame on either her or everything else, because it was just a bad day at the office this past Super Bowl.”

The source added that “Taylor is all about it,” when it comes to Kelce‘s mission to return to the big game one last time. “His on-field play needs to improve, and he knows that, especially since he is on his last contracted season and is heavily leaning towards retirement after this season.”

For Kelce, it’s all about finishing strong. “He wants to be the reason that the Chiefs return to the Super Bowl and hopefully win it again,” the insider said. “If this ends up being his last season, as he is gearing towards, he wants to go all in.”
