It’s no secret that Travis Kelce is head over heels for Taylor Swift, but the Kansas City Chiefs star made it crystal clear this week.
The 35-year-old tight end couldn’t contain his excitement after Swift made a surprise appearance at his “Tight Ends & Friends” concert during the annual Tight End University summit in Nashville.
When the NFL shared a carousel of photos from the event on Instagram, Kelce wasted no time jumping into the comments with a loud and proud cheer for his superstar partner.
“Turn me up Tay Tay!!” Kelce wrote on Wednesday, under a series of images capturing Swift‘s performance at the Brooklyn Bowl.
In true Taylor Swift fashion, the 14-time Grammy winner stunned the crowd with a commanding stage presence, wearing a belted black mini dress, matching boots, and her signature swipe of red lipstick. The pop icon delivered an energetic performance that lit up the venue, reminding everyone why she reigns supreme in both stadiums and intimate concert halls.
Introducing one of her most emotional ballads, “Champagne Problems,” Swift playfully acknowledged the crowd of NFL stars gathered at the venue.
“We would like to dedicate this to our favorite players who are going to play, and these are the tight ends,” Swift said, referencing Kelce and his fellow NFL co-founders of the event.
Kelce and Swift continue to share the spotlight
But the music wasn’t just onstage. A TikTok video from Monday, showed the couple sharing a romantic slow dance to a remix of Swift‘s own 2014 hit “Shake It Off.” In the video, Kelce could be seen mouthing the lyrics as he danced with Swift, embracing her in a moment that captured the magic of their high-profile relationship and their shared love for entertaining.
The evening was just one part of the three-day Tight End University event founded in 2021 by Kelce, fellow tight end George Kittle, and former NFL star turned sportscaster Greg Olsen. Designed as an off-season training and bonding experience for tight ends across the league, this year’s gathering clearly doubled as a celebration of love, music, and community.
Kelce‘s nickname for Swift-“Tay Tay”-has become an affectionate moniker he’s used publicly before. Speaking to Rich Eisen during a September 3, 2024, episode of The Rich Eisen Show, Kelce recalled the viral moment when he joined Swift on stage during her Eras Tour in London.
“She was so fun about it,” Kelce said, describing how they performed “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” together.
“And you know, I’m always down to have some fun on stage with Tay Tay.”
