Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce sparked buzz about his future during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show this week.

Ahead of the Divisional Round playoff matchup against the Houston Texans, the 35-year-old NFL star addressed how he’s feeling after a rollercoaster regular season-delivering his answer with a nod to girlfriend Taylor Swift.

“I’m fired up; I’m feeling 22 all over again, baby,” Kelce said, referencing Swift’s hit song 22.

The playful comment drew cheers from McAfee and the show’s cast, who joined in singing the song’s chorus. Kelce, clearly enjoying the moment, broke into a small dance.

“I was hoping you caught the reference, baby,” he said.

Ready for the playoff push

Kelce assured fans he’s “ready to rock and roll” as the Chiefs gear up for their quest to become the first NFL team to achieve a three-peat. Despite a quieter season statistically-posting 97 receptions, 823 yards, and three touchdowns-Kelce remains a crucial piece of the Chiefs’ offense.

Retirement rumors have swirled around the veteran tight end due to his age and a dip in his numbers, but Kelce‘s energy on McAfee’s show suggested he isn’t planning to hang up his cleats just yet.

The Chiefs’ playoff journey begins with a home game against the Texans, the same team they defeated in Week 15.

The Chiefs hope to repeat last season’s success, which ended with an overtime Super Bowl win over the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas.

Kelce also confirmed that Taylor Swift will be in the stands at Arrowhead Stadium for Saturday night’s game, continuing her streak of supporting him throughout the season.

Swift missed only one Chiefs home game during the regular season, and that was due to the final leg of her sold-out Eras Tour.

McAfee teased the tight end about the added excitement of having Swift in the crowd, asking: “Is there going to be an aura in that place? A little extra, you know what we’re talking about?”

Kelce responded: “Oh yeah, you know it, baby. It’s playoff football, man.”
