Sibling rivalry met viral internet absurdity on the latest episode of the New Heights podcast, where Jason and Travis Kelce found themselves at the center of an unexpected fan tribute, this time in the form of permanent ink.
The spectacle began with a now-infamous tattoo of Jason, featuring the Super Bowl champion in a hyper-stylized image of the former Philadelphia Eagles center in a provocative, shirtless pose, adorned with an eagle and not much else.
“I’m not sure if I should be offended,” Jason joked. “Or flattered. I think it’s more flattered, it’s a generous bird, good sized head.”
But what began as a humorous, if slightly bizarre, homage quickly escalated into another uncomfortable moment for his younger brother as the 37-year-old playfully turned the spotlight on Travis, by revealing that a fan had created a similar tattoo tribute to him.
The tight end for Kansas City was depicted shirtless, flexing confidently with the Chiefs’ “KC” logo proudly displayed, with the image of the 35-year-old echoing the aesthetic of Jason’s tattoo.
Jason seized the opportunity to make things awkward for Travis, asking him how he would feel about someone immortalizing him in a similar artistic fashion and clearly caught off guard, the three-time Super Bowl champion tried to play it down.
“I don’t know. Let’s leave it to the 92 percenters. Cause I don’t wanna talk about that,” Travis responded. “Pinned-up Travis? Goddamit Jason!
“Why’d you throw me under the bus? This is your world. This is your world!”
Ed Kelce just as stunned as the two brothers
The exchange had fans in stitches as Jason continued to poke fun at his younger brother’s discomfort and got his money’s worth, as Travis could only try to survive the moment on the show.
The hilarious exchange, which showcased the Kelce brothers’ trademark banter, was posted on their podcast’s Instagram page. Jason doubled down in the comments with a final plea to the fandom, but not before involving their father.
In a surprise appearance on the podcast, Ed Kelce was blindsided by the reveal of Jason’s tattoo. His raw reaction added another layer to the absurdity.
“Did somebody actually do that? Permanently? That’s not a henna,” Ed asked in disbelief. “”F**king looney.
“I saw that on social media, and that’s cringeworthy. Even without it being on somebody’s arm, just the picture itself.”
Jason tried to play it cool, teasing his father while processing the shock whilst Travis, this time clearly enjoying his brother’s own moment of discomfort by joking it’s the best the ex-Eagles center has ever looked.
In the opening week of the 2025/26 NFL season, Travis’ Chiefs are set to face the Los Angeles Chargers in a highly anticipated divisional clash in the AFC West as they head to the Corinthians Arena in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The game will take place on Friday, September 5, with kickoff slated for 20:00 ET/17:00 PT, a few hours after the Eagles take on the Dallas Cowboys to open the season.
