The Kansas City Chiefs may have lost their bid for a historic Super Bowl three-peat earlier this year, but their fanbase continues to grow.
While Taylor Swift has famously championed the team since going public with tight end Travis Kelce in 2023, she’s hardly the only A-lister to proudly wear Chiefs red. In fact, Hollywood heavyweight Brad Pitt recently made his loyalty known in a bold and public way.
Pitt appeared on the latest episode of New Heights, the wildly popular podcast hosted by Travis and Jason Kelce.
The Oscar-winning actor joined the show to discuss his new film F1, a sports drama that fits perfectly into the show’s signature mix of football and pop culture. But it didn’t take long for the conversation to turn toward the NFL and specifically, Pitt‘s allegiance to the Chiefs.
“I love the Eagles-Chiefs rivalry,” Pitt said during the podcast. “You know I’m a Chiefs [fan]. I’m a Missouri boy.”
The declaration immediately drew a positive reaction from Travis Kelce, who was thrilled to have yet another high-profile supporter backing the team. The Chiefs superstar didn’t hesitate to send a message back to Pitt, a sort of informal promise, aimed at redeeming last season’s bitter finish.
Kelce told the famous actor that he and the Chiefs would “do better” in the 2025 campaign, acknowledging the disappointment that followed their February loss in Super Bowl LIX to the Philadelphia Eagles.
That loss not only ended their season in heartbreak, but it also crushed their hopes of becoming the first NFL team in history to win three straight Super Bowl titles.
Missouri’s own Brad Pitt stays true to the Chiefs as Taylor Swift’s allegiance shifts
Brad Pitt’s love for the Chiefs is deeply rooted. Born and raised in Springfield, Missouri, his support for Kansas City is genuine.
That kind of devotion stands in contrast to other celebrity supporters such as Swift, who grew up cheering for the Eagles in her hometown of Philadelphia but has since shifted her allegiance in tandem with her romance with Kelce.
While Swift has embraced the Chiefs and been an undeniable force of attention and support since her relationship with Kelce went public in 2023, Pitt hasn’t changed.
His fandom, like his Missouri roots, has remained consistent through the highs and lows of the franchise.
And now, with the Chiefs looking to rebound and make another Super Bowl run, Pitt joins the ranks of celebrity fans like Paul Rudd, Jason Sudeikis, Henry Cavill, and WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark, who herself has said she’s been a Chiefs fan “ever since she was a child.”
