Travis Kelce is making headlines again, but this time it’s not for his performance on the football field.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end made a memorable appearance at the 8AM Invitational golf tournament hosted by Justin Timberlake in Las Vegas, turning heads with his retro-inspired outfit that paid tribute to golf legend Tiger Woods.
Kelce, accompanied by his brother Jason Kelce, brought major style to the course. He wore a white bucket hat, cream-colored knee-length trousers, Nike Victory Tour 4 golf shoes, and most notably, a peach-and-white striped polo shirt.
The shirt wasn’t just a random pick-it directly mirrored the iconic design worn by Tiger Woods after his 1994 U.S. Amateur Championship win at TPC Sawgrass.
Speaking about his choice of outfit, Kelce said, “Sunday Red on little Friday, you know what I am saying.” The Chiefs star explained that he wanted a polo to match his golf shoes and that the 90s style caught his eye.
“I just went salmon, shoutout to the 90s. Tiger Woods in the 90s at that,” he added, showing clear admiration for the legendary golfer.
Kelce‘s connection to Tiger Woods goes beyond just fashion. In a 2021 interview, Kelce shared, “I’m a Nike athlete, I grew up in the 1990s and early 2000s when Tiger Woods was at his peak, so I’m real big always rocking the Tiger Woods gear-especially red on Sundays.”
His homage to Woods‘ iconic look is a testament to how influential the 15-time major champion remains, even among superstar athletes from other sports.
The Tiger Woods Sunday Red collection continues to celebrate the golf icon’s career, and Kelce’s stylish nod proves the timelessness of Woods’ legacy.
Kelce witnesses Rory McIlroy’s historic win at Augusta National
While Kelce‘s outfit drew attention, his weekend also included witnessing golf history in person. Kelce, alongside Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, attended the 2025 Masters at Augusta National, where Rory McIlroy completed his long-awaited career grand slam.
McIlroy faced an intense final round, battling through two double bogeys and three bogeys. Thanks to a clutch birdie by Justin Rose on the 18th hole, McIlroy forced a playoff and eventually sealed his victory with a birdie at the playoff hole.
Both Kelce and Mahomes were seen enjoying the dramatic finale. Mahomes later celebrated McIlroy’s triumph, posting “Great golf!” on X.
Kelce, dressed in another stylish peach Nike polo at Augusta, continues to show his deep appreciation for the sport. From honoring Tiger Woods with his fashion to cheering on McIlroy‘s milestone, Kelce‘s passion for golf is undeniable.
Whether it’s on the gridiron or the greens, Travis Kelce knows how to make an impression-and he does it with style and heart.
