Travis Kelce is weighing up whether he wants to continue his NFL career with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Given the magnitude of the decision, you can understand why Kelce has gone quiet after the disappointing defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX. However, the fact that Kelce continues to expand his acting career suggests football is no longer his main priority.

Last year he featured in FX’s horror series ‘Grotesquerie’, and this year he will feature alongside Adam Sandler in ‘Happy Gilmore 2’, which is slated to be released in 2025.

While fans wait to see how he performs in the big time role, it appears Kelce is also making moves behind the scenes.

Kelce expanding his horizons

Kelce is credited as an executive producer for the dark comedy drama ‘My Dead Friend Zoe’, which his slated to be released on February 28. It first debuted in the South by Southwest Film Festival in Austin, Texas in March 2024.

The film marks the first time that Kelce will have served as an executive producer on a film being shown in theatres across the USA.

‘My Dead Friend Zoe’ follows Merit, a US Army Afghanistan veteran, and her relationship with her dead best friend, Zoe.

The film stars several big names like  Sonequa Martin-Green, Natalie Morales, Ed Harris and Morgan Freeman, and currently has an IMDb rating of 7.0.

Along with Kelce, the film has 10 executive producers in total, including Martin-Green, Morales and Harris.

With Kelce taking time to consider his future in football, and his role in the world of acting seemingly expanding, one has to wonder if his expanding interests will lead him to make a big decision.
