Travis Hunter and his wife, Leanna Lenee, met at Collins High School in Suwanee, Georgia, and were married on May 24 of this year in an intimate wedding with 250 guests at The Barn at Faith Farms in Tennessee.

In August, they surprised the world by revealing that their first child had been born in August. The couple decided to keep the pregnancy and birth a secret, as well as the baby’s name, which has not been revealed. Now, Leanna has revealed more details about how she found out she was pregnant.

Lenee spoke openly about the arrival of her son

The wife of the Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback and wide receiver shared several stories on her official Instagram account, sharing several highlights and reflections from the past year, mentioning God and faith as one of her most important pillars.

Among these posts, one caught the attention of many, as Leanna revealed that the news that her son was on the way came just one month and two days after she had dedicated her life to God:

A month and 2 days after giving my life to Jesus, I found out I was pregnant. I was on birth control, so this was a COMPLETE shock to me,” confessed the 24-year-old.

Lenee also revealed that in her prayers, she asked for more patience, something that made her laugh when she found out she was pregnant: “He gave me the ultimate test of patience and perseverance,” she commented.

Of course, she also revealed that this news stirred up many emotions, including guilt, but all that was left behind when she read Genesis and thought that God had chosen her “to bear his fruit“: “Any doubt or fear I had disappeared and I promised myself I would be the best mother to my child and teach him all about how good our God is,” she concluded.

Meanwhile, the young woman, who recently celebrated her 24th birthday, is now accompanying her husband, who suffered an unfortunate lateral collateral ligament tear during one of the Jaguars’ training sessions and had to undergo surgery.

This injury got in the way of Jacksonville’s two-way player’s first year, who had 28 receptions, 298 yards, and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, the Jaguars are coming off a 3-25 win over the Tennessee Titans, improving their record to 8-4. They are now preparing to host and face the Indianapolis Colts (8-4) at EverBank Stadium on Sunday, December 7.
