The Hunter family’s love affair with college football is far from over, despite Travis Hunter’s progression to the NFL, as his father quickly points out his other son is also supremely talented – and wanted.
Travis starred alongside Shedeur Sanders for the Colorado Buffaloes, producing 15 touchdowns and 1258 receiving yards from 96 receptions in the 2024/25 NCAA campaign.
He also starred on defense too as a cornerback, where he also made 24 solo tackles, 11 pass deflections, four interceptions and one forced fumble as he helped spur his side on to the Alamo Bowl.
Success only continued to follow as he was voted the Heisman Trophy winner and is now poised to be the first pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, with debate ongoing about if he can keep his two-way talents as a pro.
So, whilst college fans may think they’ve seen the last of the Hunter name, they’d actually be very wrong as Travis Hunter Sr. warns Trayvis, his second son, could prove to be just as talented.
“Just Another Hunter,” Travis Sr. said, after dancing with his children after Trayvis found the endzone at the Overtime 7v7 football camp; sending a clear warning to the sport that they’re not done yet.
Who is Trayvis Hunter?
Trayvis Hunter follows in his older brother’s footsteps when it comes to the position he plays, starring as a wide receiver for Effingham County in high school. He’s expected to graduate in 2027, meaning his NCAA debut is a while off yet.
Standing at 5ft7in and weighing 140 pounds, the 15-year-old has offers from Tennessee State and Jackon State as well as offers from within Georgia too such as the Bulldogs and Athens.
If he takes up a role with Jackson State then he will follow Travis‘ own path to start with, so will he continue what seems to be a winning formula or break out and look to establish his own name?
