“Hunter is expected to start at wide receiver early in the season and play extensively in packages at cornerback. What I expect to see initially from Travis is a player adjusting to the NFL, and he must show he can handle what is a uniquely large mental and physical challenge. Yes, Hunter has played both offense and defense his entire career. But doing so against grown men in the league will be a different task than he faced on any other level.
Meanwhile jaguars.com senior correspondent Brian Sexton expects that Hunter will show flashes of brilliance mixed with rookie mistakes and the usual learning curve that comes from playing on Sundays. “The word from Boulder, Colorado, was that Hunter‘s supreme gifts allowed him to take it easier during the practice week than he will be able to do at this level.”
