Following a disappointing 4-13 season that saw the Raiders part ways with head coach Antonio Pierce, Tom Brady has reportedly taken a hands-on role in reshaping the team’s future. To usher in a new era, the Raiders brought in two prominent figures in John Spytek, a former Buccaneers executive, as general manager, and Pete Carroll, a Super Bowl-winning head coach, to lead the team.
Both hires have deep connections to Brady, fueling speculation that the quarterback-turned-owner had significant input in their appointments.
NFL insider Dianna Russini shed light on Brady‘s influence during an appearance on The Ryen Russillo Podcast, revealing that the seven-time Super Bowl champion is playing a pivotal role behind the scenes.
“Let’s just start with making it really clear that Tom Brady is running everything in Vegas,” Russini claimed. “It’s all Tom Brady. I think there’s some rumors, some chatter – I’m telling you, it’s all Tom Brady there.”

TB12 philosophy takes center stage
One of Brady‘s most notable contributions is the implementation of his TB12 health and fitness program within the organization.
The program, developed alongside his longtime trainer Alex Guerrero, emphasizes pliability, recovery, and nutrition to optimize performance and longevity. According to Russini, Guerrero is now working directly with Raiders players to instill Brady‘s methods.
“Even his own TB12 programs are being installed, so to speak. Alex Guerrero is out there. He’s going to be working with some of the players,” Russini said.
“He is trying to do it and change the Raiders – and have a tremendous amount of influence on them.
“The guy knows how to win, obviously. Why not listen to him? I’d rather listen to Tom Brady calling everything than Mark Davis – no disrespect to Mark. Tom has a thought, an idea; he understands what it takes.”
Brady‘s new role with the Raiders comes during his first year of a 10-year, $375 million contract with Fox Sports as the network’s lead NFL analyst. However, his foray into broadcasting has been met with mixed reviews, and rumors about his potential departure for a larger role within the Raiders’ organization have swirled.
Despite speculation, Brady has denied any plans to step away from his broadcasting career.
However, his significant involvement in the Raiders‘ operations has led to questions about how he will balance his dual roles moving forward.
