The Las Vegas Raiders are making bold moves under the guidance of minority owner Tom Brady and General Manager John Spytek.
With a shared history dating back to their days as teammates at the University of Michigan, Brady and Spytek are working tirelessly to elevate the Raiders to new heights.
Spytek, who has been keen to seek Brady‘s advice, admitted that he would have to be a “special kind of idiot” not to leverage the knowledge of the seven-time Super Bowl champion.
Brady’s active involvement in the Raiders’ management extends beyond financial interest. He was instrumental in hiring Pete Carroll as the new head coach and reuniting him with his former quarterback Geno Smith through a trade with the Seattle Seahawks.

Recently, the team brought in Ryan Paganetti as their Head Coach Research Specialist, focusing on game management.
Previously, Paganetti served as the Director of Football Analytics for the Jacksonville Jaguars, and before that, as a game management coach with the Philadelphia Eagles.
His data-driven approach to analyzing plays was credited with helping the Eagles secure their Super Bowl LII victory in 2017.
Paganetti’s innovative methods, including analyzing win probability and expected points, have been instrumental in shaping aggressive and successful game strategies.
Raiders Target Kenneth Walker III in Potential Trade
The Raiders’ efforts to bolster their roster may not stop with coaching hires. They are actively seeking to enhance their running back (RB) department.
Despite signing Raheem Mostert on a one-year, $2.1 million deal, the Raiders are looking for a younger, more reliable backfield option. Zamir White, who struggled with injuries last season, has left the team’s RB depth looking questionable.
According to NFL analyst Moe Moton, the Raiders are contemplating a trade for Seattle Seahawks‘ Kenneth Walker III.
The 24-year-old running back, who impressed during his rookie year with over 1,000 rushing yards and nine touchdowns, experienced a decline in performance due to injuries throughout the 2024 season.
His contract, estimated at $41 million, could potentially give the Raiders the offensive firepower they desperately need.
Moton speculates that Pete Carroll, now coaching the Raiders, may reach out to his former team to negotiate a deal for Walker.
Given Walker’s struggles with injuries and declining performance, the Seahawks may be open to moving him. If successful, this acquisition could further enhance the Raiders’ chances of becoming a formidable force in the NFL.
