Making someone laugh is a difficult but satisfying task. With anecdotes and jokes all around, Tom Brady took to the Netflix screen to share a day between jokes in “The Roast of Tom Brady.” However, it didn’t leave him very happy and he even regrets it.
In his recent visit to the microphones of Logan Paul’s “IMPAULSIVE” podcast, the former quarterback confessed that, although he had fun, his children did not enjoy it. Brady made several “jokes” about the new relationship between his ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen, and Jiu Jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente, a topic that did not please his children.
Facing their claims and especially their disappointment was not easy for the former Tampa Bay Buccaneer, who assured that his children are very “protective” of their mother and him: “I’ll never forget when I talked to my kids the next day. I felt like a stake through the heart” Brady described and later added: “They asked, ‘Why did you do that?'”.
This question resonates to this day in the head of the seven-time Super Bowl champion and he admitted that he didn’t realize the repercussions it could have on his family to expose them so publicly.
It’s not the first time he’s regretted it
Last year on The Pivot Podcast with Ryan Clark, he admitted that, as a father, he “has to constantly evaluate himself.” He further clarified, “as much as I enjoyed the show…when I look back, I realize I have to think about something bigger than the present moment.”
Gisele’s reaction
As a source told People last year, Bündchen was “deeply disappointed by the disrespectful portrayal of her family on Sunday night’s show.”
The 44-year-old supermodel and Brady share two children, Benjamin, 14, and Vivian, 11. Gisele is also stepmother to 16-year-old Jack, whom Tom had with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan.
Bündchen and Brady divorced in late 2022 after 13 years of marriage, while Brady and Moynahan split in 2006 after a two-year relationship.
