Conor McGregor knows how to leave a lasting impression on people because of his charisma which includes some arrogance and flashiness, characteristics that earned him the nickname “The Notorious”.
Even though he’s still training for his UFC comeback fight, the former dual-weight champion from Dublin, Ireland, hasn’t fought since snapping his leg during a trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021. He’s been busy off the mat, dealing with legal problems but also enjoying the social life.
Apart from the scandal over the accusation and conviction of sexual abuse against him, McGregor has no answers as to why his professional career has gone downhill, but he claims that he does have all the answers for the people of Ireland, of which he intends to be president.
Theo Von was impressed when he met Conor McGregor
Conor McGregor was one of many athletes and celebrities that were invited to Donald Trump’s Inauguration ceremony in Washington, D.C., where he cross paths with Jake and Logan Paul, the famous boxers and internet sensations that have a feud with the Irish man.
Right in the middle of the heated moment was Theo Von, the stand-up comedian, podcaster and actor that was blown away with McGregor’s presence, as he described on his podcast “This Past Weekend”, a story that fans absolutely loved.
“His suit was like they had perfectly fitted it, brother, like the suit has just been stitched right around him just the second before he walked in our view, and he was just fresh, like he’s been drinking Irish drink soaked water, it looked like he was just fresh, he was energetic and he crawled right up.” Von stated. He went on to describe McGregor’s intensity when talking to people.
The podcaster told the audience that he didn’t know about the problems between the Paul brothers and McGregor, and he even made fun of the situation calling it “grown man arguing on the internet, they’ve been doing it.”
Von went on to say that Conor McGregor looked like the Notre Dame Fightin Irish Leprechaun “but he was twice as bad like the mascot guy and he had legs strong as the moors. He had a voraciousness, his aura was at about 6-7,000, 8,000, and I was like holy sh**, dude, f*cking Karate Kid of Ireland… That’s the most violent tallest leprechaun they ever made right there, he’s a savage man.”
McGregor is gonna have to wait to fight Logan Paul
Conor McGregor is gonna have to wait to fight Logan Paul, as rumors of a potential $250 million showdown between them in India were a constant before the breaking news this Tuesday: Jake and Logan Paul are about to come to blows. But no, this is not a family feud but a full-blown boxing match, or at least that’s what Jake claimed in a recent post on social media, sending his followers into a frenzy.
The Paul brothers are used to being in the spotlight. They are among the pioneers of so-called influencer boxing, and their respective careers have kept them in the public eye. While Logan is one of the WWE stars, Jake is trying to make a name for himself as a professional boxer.
Just this past November, the “Problem Child” beat former champion Mike Tyson in a controversial fight that broke viewership records on Netflix. Logan, meanwhile, was recently in the news for a potential fight against former UFC champion Connor McGregor that was ultimately canceled, but this announcement is on another level.
