The NFL brought many interesting stories to Madrid and one of the most notable is the Paul brothers’ showdown. Patrick is a Miami tackle, while Chris is an offensive lineman for Washington.
The Santiago Bernabeu will witness the first official clash between the Paul brothers in the NFL on Sunday. In 2024, they did so but it was in preseason.

The impact of the older brother
Although Patrick will do his best to help Miami get its fourth win of the season against Washington, he did not forget the great influence his brother has been in order to reach the NFL.
In a press conference, the Dolphins tackle was asked about the relationship with his older brother and how close they are now that they both play in the NFL: “We’re still as close as ever and, speaking about football, they’re the reason; my two brothers are the reason I started playing. As far as sports go, I played every sport they played.”

Patrick also commented that he is excited to face his brother in an official NFL game: “I haven’t seen him in months, it’s great to see him in Spain and I’m excited to see him play.”
Finally, he spoke about the experience of being able to explore Madrid with his older brother: “It’s crazy, I hadn’t seen him for months and the first time we met was in Spain. It’s been a blessing.”
