For many, the emergence of Jake Paul was one of the best things that could have happened to boxing, at least from an economic point of view, as Paul has managed to give more visibility to boxing and a better show. However, there is also a large sector of detractors who object that the arrival of the influencer has taken away the seriousness of the sport.

One of the main questions that has arisen since the Paul brothers began their boxing careers is whether they will ever face each other in the ring, a fight that would surely be a sell-out in practically any venue

However, this hypothetical fight would be a mismatch, as while Logan has built his career in sports entertainment as a prominent figure in WWE and as an entrepreneur with his Prime brand, Jake has opted for professional boxing, accumulating a record of 12 fights, mostly against former MMA fighters and boxers past their prime.

Jake Paul opens the door to a possible fight against Logan Paul

In a recent interview on the podcast, Jake Paul addressed the issue directly. Although he initially dismissed the possibility, saying “I really don’t think we’re going to fight,” he then left the door open with one particular condition: if the fight were to happen, it would be under mixed martial arts (MMA) rules.

“In boxing, I would beat him quite easily,” said Jake, adding that his older brother would probably agree with that statement, although he would think the fight would be a little closer. For him, an MMA fight would represent a fairer ground due to the athletic and wrestling skills Logan has developed in WWE. “He’s very good at wrestling. He can do splits and could probably kick me in the head,” he said.

When is Jake Paul’s next fight?

Leaving aside this hypothetical and unlikely fight, Paul spoke about his next fight which is scheduled for June 28 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, where he will face former world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., as well as the revelation of his possible next opponent, as his team would have already started talks with high caliber figures such as Badou Jack and Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez, current world cruiserweight champion by the WBA and the WBO.

For now, the future of Jake Paul in professional boxing is full of expectations. As he prepares for his fight against Chavez Jr., there is interest in a possible showdown with his brother Logan, as well as the possibility of facing world-class champions.
