Some believe that the ultimate measure for determining the Greatest of All Time (GOAT) in the NFL is the number of titles each player has on their resume. In this regard, no one can overshadow Tom Brady; however, Patrick Mahomes has an achievement that puts him squarely in the conversation.

The list of quarterbacks who have won more than one Super Bowl is longer than one might think. From Brady to Craig Morton, there are a total of 22 players on the list.

Of all of them, Brady’s numbers stand out: ten Super Bowls played, with seven wins and three losses. Six of his victories were with the New England Patriots, and the remaining one, the last of his career, was with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

By sheer force of will, Brady seems to take the honors. However, other equally spectacular, but less tangible, achievements extend the debate about who the GOAT is.

The achievements that overshadow Brady

It’s true that the former Patriots star played in and won more Super Bowls than anyone else. However, we shouldn’t forget that Joe Montana and Terry Bradshaw have a perfect record in four appearances.

Patrick Mahomes indeed lost two of the five Super Bowls he’s played in, but it’s also true that he was the Most Valuable Player (MVP) in the three he won. Brady, for his part, only won the award in five of his seven victories.

Although for many the number of titles is an irrefutable argument, the achievements of Montana, Bradshaw, and Mahomes cannot simply be ignored.
