Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes are not only in their ninth year together with the Kansas City Chiefs and the NFL, but they are also in the early months of their new venture: 1587 Prime.

Opened on September 17, the exclusive steakhouse aims to combine the quarterback and tight end’s two passions, but it has received negative reviews.

Patrick’s family supports 1587 Prime

The restaurant, named after the Chiefs stars’ numbers “15” and “87,” quickly gained popularity. Located inside the Loews Kansas City Hotel, it has become a favorite spot for celebrities and the Kelce and Mahomes families, who are frequent guests.

Patrick’s brother, Jackson Mahomes, recently shared a photo on his Instagram stories showing all the family members.

Their mother Randi, father Pat, Patrick, his wife Brittany, and sister Mia posed with big smiles for the camera, sitting at a round marble table, showing not only a pleasant family moment but also their support for the QB’s project..

However, one problem is wiping the smile off the 30-year-old quarterback’s face: recent criticism. Several diners have complained about the quality of the food and, above all, the high prices.

While they argued that the essence of the restaurant was to fuse elite cuisine with the spirit of Chiefs fandom, some prices may not be kind to their fans’ pockets.

However, although the prices are not cheap, they are on par with any high-end restaurant, with cocktails ranging from $18 to $25, appetizers from $16 to $40, and the rest of the menu up to $130, according to Business Insider’s specialist critic, Kelsey Huson.

Meanwhile, Kelce and Mahomes also announced that the restaurant will host a party before the Monday Night Football game against the Washington Commanders on October 27 at home. This will be the first time they have held an event of this kind, and it will be free and open to the public.
