Rivalries on the court have undoubtedly turned a game into a great show. When two great figures and two great teams face off, no fan can take their eyes off the game.

A matchup between the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers not only draws attention for the game itself, but also for its two big stars: Stephen Curry and LeBron James.

However, once off the court, their relationship is completely different. As seen during their participation in the 2024 Paris Olympics, “King James” and “The Chef” have a very good relationship.

Recently, James shared a series of videos on his official Instagram account practicing this new sport. Of course, as a newcomer to the world of golf, his stance and swing are not those of a professional, but his efforts quickly went viral.

This discipline is practiced by several of his league mates, such as Steph, who has been playing for 10 years. In his post, the Warriors icon commented amiably, “Welcome, we’ve been waiting for you.

Curry and James, rivals in basketball, friends in golf

Now, a new chapter in the golfing friends’ story has surprised their fans. And, of course, there was a joke involved.

During his preparation and training for the 2025 American Century Championship, Curry did not miss the opportunity to imitate LBJ’s swing, which he showed in his post. Of course, the audience burst out laughing after the hilarious imitation. However, Steph later shared a message with James:

Unbelievable impersonation of my guy Bron’s follow-through in the golf swing. But we all want to welcome LeBron James to the world of golf because the game needs you, big fella.

Beyond the joke, the appreciation and good energy that this colossal duo conveys is evident. And if they already cause chaos in the NBA without being teammates, can you imagine what they’ll do together in golf?
