An NBA champion, Matt Barnes is facing serious accusations from his fiancée who alleges that he has been unfaithful with multiple women following an explosive post on social media exposing the former Los Angeles Laker.
Anansa Sims as dragged the Barnes name back to the front of the basketball scene with the claims, despite him retiring as a professional all the way back in 2017 and keeping a relatively low profile since then.
“Why Matt?? 8 different women In January,” Sims, the mother of his two children, posted to Instagram, followed by a broken heart emoji calling out the All The Smoke podcast host on social media.
This post quickly gained traction, with many speculating on the state of their relationship, considering the pair have been engaged since 2022 and welcomed their second child together as recently as October 2024.
According to reports from The Shade Room, Sims later posted additional accusations, seemingly identifying some of the women she claimed her 44-year-old partner had been involved with and even providing specific timeframes.
Though the post has since been removed, screenshots of it continue to circulate online and Sims concluded her message with a definitive statement: “Y’all can have him.”
This is not the first time the couple has experienced public difficulties. In 2018, they endured a high-profile breakup, only to reconcile later. Their engagement signaled a fresh start, but the recent allegations have cast doubt on the stability of their union.

Barnes, who played 15 seasons in the NBA with nine different teams, was best known for his defensive prowess and role as a supporting player. He was part of the Golden State Warriors‘ 2016-17 championship-winning team, contributing during the playoffs, including the NBA Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
As of now, Barnes has not publicly addressed the allegations but will no doubt be on defense once again behind closed doors. Fans and media outlets alike await his response, as the situation continues to unfold.
Given the couple’s past ups and downs, only time will tell whether they will work through this controversy or part ways for good but Sims has not erased photos of Barnes from her Instagram account.
