The Dodgers, the actual World Series champion, and maybe the most famous MLB team in the world started the 2025 MLB Tokyo Series this morning with a convincing 5-1 win over the Yomiuri Giants in the first f two exhibition games before the opening series against the Chicago Cubs.

Takashi Murakami designed the special and limited edition of this Tokyo Series year official merchandising. This collection was launched on March 7th, and they also worked with other brands such as Complex Media, New EraFanatics, Topps, and Rawlings. The Japanese artist threw the first ball of this Tokyo Series

The flower inside the uniform design, as with every other special product they launched; New Era 59FIFTY caps, Nike hoodies, Rawlings gloves, and Topps unique collection cards. Murakami reported that this was a symbol of Japan and its close relationship with the US.

Even though Shohei Ohtani won’t be able to throw in his land, the Japanese fandom will be able to see more of the show that Shoehi put this game with a two-run home run inside the Tokyo Dome. He is starting to play since the injury that he suffered during game 2 of the World Series. This brutal display of his offensive power, coupled with the significance of the Tokyo Series, created a moment of profound connection between Ohtani and the Japanese.
