Although the Los Angeles Dodgers haven’t even clinched their division, the team is already talking about another World Series appearance, and the idea isn’t far-fetched. The team led by Dave Roberts is one of the favorites for the title and can afford to make such bold statements.

Recently, the team’s Dominican outfielder, Teoscar Hernández, revealed who he wants to face in the World Series, and it’s none other than some old acquaintances of his.

Teoscar Hernández wants the Toronto Blue Jays

The Dominican player was with the Blue Jays from 2017 to 2022, where he won two Silver Slugger awards and participated in an All-Star Game before departing for the Dodgers.

“I always watch their games because of Vladdy, Bo, Springer, and all the guys I played with when I was there,” Hernández said. “I always am going to wish the best for everybody. Hopefully they can keep going the way they’re going right now. Hopefully we can meet in the World Series. That would be awesome. They’re playing really good baseball, playing hard and doing the little things in clutch moments. They put together a really good team beside the big names Vladdy, Bo, and Springer, put the right pieces together, and that’s why they’re having success.”

The Dodgers won two of three games against the Blue Jays, the team currently leading the American League East. The idea of these two teams meeting in the Fall Classic isn’t far-fetched, as they are among the best in the season.

Teoscar Hernández has had a solid season despite dealing with injuries. This year, he has 18 home runs and 69 RBIs in 96 games, with a batting average slightly above the league average.

Currently, the Dodgers lead the National League West, though the San Diego Padres are close behind, just two games back.
