Recently, information resurfaced that had first been revealed in 2020 in Jeff Pearlman’s book Three-Ring Circus: Kobe, Shaq, Phil, and the Crazy Years of the Lakers Dynasty.
Within some passages of that work, a confrontation between Black Mamba and Jayson Williams is described. According to the account presented in the book, Donald Trump ended up helping separate the two players.
The incident reportedly took place at the Grand Hyatt hotel in New York City, a property that at the time belonged to Trump.

In a recent conversation Donald Trump had with Jake Paul, which was broadcast on YouTube, he was asked about the moment when he had to step in and break up the altercation.
That was a long time ago. Yeah, well I was breaking up a fight, which sometimes is more dangerous than being in a fight.”…”But I like Kobe. Kobe was having a hard time with somebody, and it worked out fine. But yeah, I broke it up, probably not a smart thing to do. Historically, it’s never good to break up fights.

Although it is not known with certainty who threw the first punch, it is worth remembering that at the time the incident occurred, Williams may have had the advantage. Bryant was only in his second NBA season and was still very young. The player had moved directly from high school into the professional world.
At that stage of his career, Bryant was still developing into the superstar he would later become. The confrontation, according to the story, unfolded quickly and required intervention before the situation escalated further inside the elevator area.
For Trump, Jake Paul will enter politics
After recounting the anecdote with the streamer who attempted to become a boxer before quickly seeing his ambitions halted, Trump told Paul that he believed he could eventually become a political figure.
I’m going to make a prediction that you will be, in the not too distant future, running for political office.”…. “And you have my complete and total endorsement.
The issue is that this personality, alongside his brother Logan, does not enjoy the best reputation among people who are somewhat older than them. Many critics describe their content and public behavior as negative or irritating.
It remains to be seen whether he will follow Trump’s advice or instead continue his career as a streamer, speaking about whatever topics he believes will attract the attention of his audience and keep him in the public spotlight.
