The season hasn’t even started yet, but Dallas Cowboys fans are already imagining the worst case scenario, which is no surprise after the nightmare they went through last season.
Last year was a disaster in every sense of the word for Dallas fans. Expectations were very high, but they were disappointed, and it seems that it will be difficult to change the mentality of their loyal fans.
Now, as they prepare for the new season, the criticism does not end with the holidays, as Jerry Jones‘ decisions in free agency have been attacked for not strengthening the team enough, leaving a roster perceived as weak in the NFC East.
And even more so with the latest names being mentioned to bolster the Cowboys from the draft.
The three options the Cowboys would have on the table from the draft pick
NFL experts are already considering the options for Dallas in the first round of the draft. In this case, the Cowboys have the 12th overall pick in the first round and cannot miss their opportunity to sign the right man.
Sources on the 33rd team say Jerry Jones’ franchise will take a very close look at defensive tackle Mason Graham, edge rusher Shemar Stewart and wide receiver Luther Burden III.
Three players with different skill sets that could each bring something to a franchise that has struggled defensively and especially on offense.
The surprising thing is the drop in hype that Mason Graham has generated, but they must have seen something in him at the NFL Scouting Combine that landed him on Dallas‘ wish list.
Fans are not happy with the 3 options
The loyal followers of the Dallas Cowboys are not very happy with the 3 options being considered by the franchise’s management.
More than anything else, they feel that none of the three fits the needs of the team.
“I’m not interested in a receiver that can’t run routes or can’t run well. So if we’re looking for a star running back, Hampton will be a great option.”
“It’s exhausting to defend these guys, they can’t sign any of them.”
“It shows that Jerry and Stephen Jones don’t want to do what it takes to win.”
“I really don’t know when it’s worse to be a Cowboys fan. In season or out of season.”
These were some of the comments that could be read on social media, and there are even some who want to get off the boat and they don’t seem very confident about facing a new Cowboys campaign in the NFL. We’ll see what Jerry Jones’ next move will be.
