The Dallas Cowboys look good during their camp with new strategies on the table that could surprise the entire league in 2025. The current roster looks to be an offensive powerhouse with the trio of Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens. However, one of their stars still does not have a guaranteed ‘seat’ on the team: Micah Parsons.

Dallas began training camp with the pressure of bouncing back from a disappointing 2024, in which they finished with a 7-10 record and failed to make the playoffs. That result prompted major changes in the organization, including the appointment of Brian Schottenheimer as the new head coach.

If there’s one thing that’s going to characterize the Dallas Cowboys in this year’s NFL season, it’s going to be the defense, without a doubt. During Wednesday’s camp, the defense was active on every play. In fact, Schottenheimer made a bold statement that should have the league on notice

“I’m not afraid to say it: I think we’ll be one of the best teams in the league on defense,” he said.

Micah Parsons wants to sign for 4 years and $140 million with Dallas

Dallas certainly has the defensive talent and speed to do so. Once DeMarvion Overshown and Trevon Diggs are fully recovered and ready to play, the Cowboys’ defense will feature even more talented and attacking players.

But, of course, they will need the help of Micah Parsons, the star linebacker who still has nothing certain within Jerry Jones’ team, with whom he has had certain friction with the issue. The linebacker is looking for a contract extension, he would like to sign for four years with a value of $140 million.
